Serie A side want to sign Chelsea star, but will look elsewhere if they fail in pursuit
Lazion are said to be highlighting other potential targets just in case they miss out on Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma.
The Serie A side want to bring the Frenchman in on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season, but with Zouma in-and-around Chelsea‘s first-team, they may miss out on the defender altogether.
Zouma is seen as back-up to Gary Cahill and John Terry, but in recent weeks he has been used in the first-team and is already being touted as the future of Chelsea’s back-line.
Loan Deal a Possibility
However, with game-time limited, it’s thought some officials at Stamford Bridge were prepared to see him go out on loan in order to develop quicker.
Lazio are the side interested in loaning him, but according to reports in Italy, they are already looking at alternatives in case they can’t wrap up the Zouma deal.
Marseille‘s Nicolas N’Koulou and Sebastian De Maio of Genoa are two names also on Lazio’s shortlist.
