The striker is also wanted by Norwich
Leicester have contacted Stoke about a potential deal for Jonathan Walters.
The striker has handed in a transfer request at the Potters and it looked likely that he was on his way to Norwich. However, in typical deadline day fashion, Leicester have now entered the race to sign him and they have even approached Stoke to discuss a potential deal.
The Potters value Walters at around £3m and no team has met that valuation as of yet. Plus, they aren’t keen on letting the 31-year old forward leave until they have brought in a suitable replacement.
They are believed to be in talks with an unnamed club over the signing of a striker to replace the Irishman and once that deal is done, Walters can then leave and join Norwich or Leicester.
