English left-back likely to be sidelined until 2014
Everton defender Leighton Baines is set to be sidelined until the new year after suffering a broken toe during the Merseyside Derby at the weekend.
The left-back limped off in the second-half after Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson accidently stamped on him after competing for a 50-50 ball and later on in the day, scans were done and results showed that had fractured his metatarsal.
However, The Toffees have not actually received how long he could be out for just yet, but it is expected that he will miss the festive period, which is when Premier League side’s are the busiest.
With seven games to be played in the next four weeks, Roberto Martinez will be disappointed to see his star miss out on some crucial games for the club.
