Leonardo Jardim is the latest manager whose name has been linked to the vacant managerial post at Real Madrid.

Jardim has been without a job since parting ways with Monaco a few days ago. Thierry Henry replaced the Portuguese at the French club.

Madrid do have the obligation to hire a manager before a stipulated period according to Spanish football federation rules. Currently, former Real Madrid B manager Santiago Solari is taking care of the first team duties following the removal of Julen Lopetegui.

Los Blancos president Florentino Perez got rid of the Spaniard after Real’s 5-1 thrashing at the hand of archrival Barcelona. Since then a number of names with the likes of Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho have been resurfaced as potential candidates but there has been no serious development regarding the appointment of a new manager.

Jardim has a pretty decorated CV and when it comes to promoting youth talents his number should be in the first position. The 44 year old does have the knack to experiment with youngsters and has developed a number of talented players with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Anthony Martial and Thomas Lemar during his four year stay at the French club.
