Hull City midfielder tests positive for recreational drug
Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore, has tested positive for cocaine, and will not play for the relegation-threatened Tigers’ again this season.
According to the Telegraph, the 25-year-old failed a random drugs test following Hull’s 2-0 win away at Crystal Palace in April.
A regular in the starting eleven at the KC Stadium, the news of Livermore’s recreational drug use will come as a bitter blow for manager Steve Bruce, with Hull struggling to avoid relegation to the Championship.
LENGTHY BAN:
Livermore, who has been capped once at international level, is now facing a lengthy ban away from the club, following his actions.
Hull are expected to make a statement on the player this afternoon, before their trip to face Livermore’s former side, Tottenham Hotspur, tomorrow afternoon.
