Reds have bid for midfielder snubbed

Liverpool have had a £25million bid for Mahmoud Dahoud rejected by Borussia Monchengladbach.

It’s thought the Reds made the bid for the full-back over the weekend, but the German giants aren’t interested and told them not to bother making an improved offer.

However, if Liverpool are prepared to wait a year, they could land him next summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

Dahoud, who has been capped at Under-21s level for Germany, has two years remaining on his current deal and has refused to extend it.

If he continues to refuse, Monchengladbach will have to consider allowing him to move on or see his value drop.

However, his club are adamant they want to hold on to highly-rated Dahoud after already selling his midfield partner Granit Xhaka to Arsenal for £30m this summer.
