Liverpool have accepted an offer from Bayern Munich for goalkeeper Pepe Reina. According to reports, a bid of around £2m has been accepted by the Reds for the Spaniard.
The 31-year old spent last season on loan at Napoli in Serie A and he had been expected to leave Anfield this summer. However, in recent weeks, reports linking him with a move had died down because of his high wage demands putting clubs off.
But it now appears that Reina could be on his way to the Bundesliga, with Bayern willing to make him understudy to No.1 keeper Manuel Neuer. This news means that Munich will now drop their interest in Artur Boruc, who they had been looking to bring to the Allianz Arena last week.
