Swansea City are set to scrap the £19 million release clause of Wilfried Bony, and are set to offload the striker to either Liverpool are Tottenham, according to The Daily Mirror.

The Welsh club are set to lose a third first team player this summer, as both fullback Ben Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm have both departed Swansea to join Tottenham Hotspur last month.

Bony impressed during his first season having signed from Dutch side Vitesse for £12 million last summer, and scored 16 goals in 31 Premier League appearances, but has told both manager Garry Monk and Chairman Huw Jenkins that he wants to move to a bigger club, in his ambition to plsy Champions League football.

The current situation has alerted Liverpool, who are looking for a replacement for Luis Suarez, who departed for Barcelona in a £75 million fee, with Brendan Rodgers keen to raid his former club.

Swansea will be hoping to make a substancial profit on their forward, however any deal could be substsncially less than his £19 million buy out clause.

Chairman Huw Jenkins admitted defeat last week, and stated that the club would not stand in the way of any Bony deal.

“If a top Champions League club comes in, and puts the right offer on the table, then of course we will speak to Bony.”
