After six years at Liverpool without a single game, Colombian defender Anderson Arroyo is expected to leave the team permanently.  Due to problems with his work authorization, Arroyo, 24, who had joined in January 2018 as a youngster, was loaned to Mallorca right away.

After impressing club scouts and going on eight separate loan stints away from Merseyside, the Colombian signed for the Reds at the age of 18 from Fortaleza CEIF in his own country. His contract was extended in 2022, so he could stay at Anfield until the following summer. However, he has now formally signed a three-year contract to play for Burgos CF in Spain. Following the completion of the deal’s last formalities, Arroyo now officially joins the team he played for during the second half of 2023–2024.

Forgotten Liverpool defender to depart after six years, eight loan spells and ZERO appearances

Arroyo joined Burgos in La Liga 2 during the winter of the previous season after being called back from his loan at Gerard Pique-owned Andorra. He made 16 appearances and scored one goal as his team finished ninth.

And now, as per Diario de Burgos, the former under-20 and under-23 international for Colombia is finally expected to finalize a permanent transfer, ending his six-year affiliation with Liverpool without a single appearance at any level. Although the source claims Liverpool still needs to finalize a few points about the terms of the deal, Arroyo will sign a three-year contract with Burgos.
