Liverpool baffled by links to Reus

Liverpool are said to be baffled with reports linking them with a huge move for Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus. Following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, the Reds now have up to ÂŁ75m to spend on transfers, as they look to replace the Uruguayan.

Brenand Rodgers has already secured deals for Rickie Lambert, Emre Can and Adam Lallana, while Lazar Markovic of Benfica looks set to move to Anfield in a ÂŁ20m deal. Despite all this transfer activity, they are still being linked with moves for a host of other names.

Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez and Dejan Lovren are both being looked at by Liverpool and so are Swansea’s Wilfried Bony, Ben davies and Michel Vorm. But a name recently doing the rounds has been Marco Reus. It was claimed that the Reds were making a ÂŁ45m move for the Borussia Dortmund man, but Liverpool have said that they have no interest in making a bid.

Reus himself has said to Bild: “I can definitely rule out a transfer this summer.”

Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc is also adamant that he won’t let the forward leave the club.
