Liverpool look set to complete the signing of Xherdan Shaqiri with Inter Milan having turned their attentions to Mohamed Salah. The Chelsea winger is currently unsettled in London.
He has reportedly held showdown talks with Jose Mourinho asking for more first-team action but Inter Milan are ready to step in and offer him the first team football he craves. The Serie A side hope to wrap up a loan deal this month, with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
It leaves Liverpool in the clear to sign Shaqiri from Bayern Munich, who had originally chosen to move to Italy over England. But with Inter now out of the running, the Reds are ready to offer him a lucrative deal to get him to move to Anfield.
