Liverpool are reportedly hours away from completing the signing of FC Barcelona midfielder, Alex Song.
The Cameroon international has struggled to adapt to life in Spain, and has barely featured for the Catalan giants since making the transfer from Arsenal a few years ago.
The holding-midfielder has been unable to knock Sergio Busquets out of the first-team, and has been forced to fill out at centre-back more often than not, but with Luis Enrique now at the helm, it’s reported that Song is being forced to leave the club.
According to reports in Spain, Liverpool have made a formal offer for the 26-year-old, but face competition from Galatasaray, who have also declared their interest.
However, it’s believed Song is desperate for a return to England, so Liverpool would be his favoured choice.
