Liverpool have decied to revive their interest in Swansea duo Wilfred Bony and Ben Davies as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his squad for the new season. Liverpool who are looking for a forward to fill the void left by Luis Suarez have targeted Bony after he scored 21 goals in all competitions for the Welsh outfit last season.

Rodgers is also looking to purchase promising young left back Ben Davies to provide competition to Jose Enrique as he looks to sure up a leaky defence that saw Liverpool miss out on the league title last season.

The Swans duo have been in talks with Tottenham over a move to White Hart Lane but talks have stalled as Tottenham do not wish to meet Swansea’s valuation of the two players. Spurs offered Gylfi Sigurdsson for Ben Davies and Michel Vorm, however Swansea rejected the offer.

It seems Swansea have come to terms with the fact that they’ll lose Wilfred Bony this summer as they are lining up a ÂŁ6 million move for Watford’s Troy Deeney to replace the Ivorian forward. Tottenham also remain keen on Divock Origi who was reportedly seen at Melwood yesterday holding talks over a move that could rise to ÂŁ10 million.

Also Liverpool’s move for Lazar Markovic looks set to be completed soon as he is due on Merseyside for a medical today after Brendan Rodgers decided to activate the Serbian wingers ÂŁ19.8 million buy-out clause.
