Liverpool are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper, Petr Cech, on a six-month loan-deal in January.
Brendan Rodgers is desperate to sign a goalkeeper in the Winter window after Simon Mignolet’s form doesn’t look like improving and Brad Jones isn’t seen as a suitable number-one.
The Reds have been strongly linked with free-agent, Victor Valdes, in the past, but he is now training with Manchester United and looks set to sign a temporary contract with The Red Devils.
According to reports yesterday, Liverpool have agreed a £3million deal for Mexican shot-stopper, Guillermo Ochoa, but it’s still believed a loan-deal for Cech may be an option.
Cech is considered back-up by Jose Mourinho now since the emergence of Thibaut Courtois gave the Belgium the number-one jersey.
It isn’t understood whether Mourinho will allow the loan-move to a rival.
