Reds want to add Premier League experience to side

Liverpool are ready to make four new signings this Summer, with all of them recently playing in the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers is desperate to resolve the current situation at Anfield and put things right after a failed campaign, which saw them finish 6th in the Premier League after finishing second the year before.

Suarez Money Wasted

Failing to replace Luis Suarez has been the downfall for Rodgers and Liverpool, but this Summer it seems that the manager is finally readyFour to add quality, rather than quantity.

Rodgers decided to sign several players with the ÂŁ75million raised by the Suarez sale, but nearly all of the transfer he made flopped during the 2014/2015 campaign.

However, this Summer looks to be different for the Merseyside club as they eye four deals for four proven Premier League stars.

Four Stars Wanted

Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton, Christian Benteke from Aston Villa, Danny Ings from Burnley and James Milner from Manchester City are the four on Rodgers’ radar.

Ings and Milner are available to sign for free as their contracts are set to expire at their respective clubs. However, due to the striker’s age, The Reds will have to pay a compensation fee to Burnley, believed to be around ÂŁ5million.

As for Benteke and Clyne, Liverpool would have to spend around ÂŁ60m in order to lure them both to the club.

The right-back is valued at around ÂŁ25m by Southampton, even though Liverpool launched a formal bid of just ÂŁ10m last week, whilst Benteke has a release clause of ÂŁ32.4m, which is the only offer that will be accepted by Villa.

That totals to around ÂŁ57m spending for Liverpool, plus the compensation fee they would have to pay to sign Ings.

All four players are proven in England which would be a boost for Rodgers as he hopes to bring Champions League football back to Anfield next season.
