Reds want to bring Frenchman back to the Premier League

Liverpool are interested in signing Nice midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa, according to reports.

The Frenchman is starting to resurrect his career back in France after falling out of favour at Newcastle United and leaving the club almost two years ago.

Ben Arfa struggled with weight issues and was dropped to the reserves at Newcastle before being released, ending his time at St James’ Park in a negative fashion.

Since then, Ben Arfa has returned to France and is building up a reputation again at Nice, scoring some wonderful solo-goals and putting in some impressive displays for the Ligue 1 side.

The 28-year-old has scored 12 goals so far this season and his performances have even given him a shot at being included in Didier DeschampsEuropean Championship squad.

Return to England?

Due to his impressive form, he’s been linked with a move away from Nice, and with the midfielder admitting that ‘all doors are open’ regarding a move away, he could be set for a return to the Premier League.

Liverpool are interested in signing him, with Jurgen Klopp expected to make several changes over the summer, and Ben Arfa could be one of many new faces at Anfield.
