Manchester City fans were pelted with bricks outside Anfield after their side lost 3-2 to Liverpool in their massive Premier League title race match today, according to several City fans on social networking site, Twitter.

The Reds took the game thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling, Martin Skrtel and Phillipe Coutinho, but despite the positive result and the step closer to Premier League glory, they were still feeling angry and aggressive towards the away support after the game.

One account Tweeted the following after boarding his coach: ‘Scousers full of class brick city coaches attack fans with kids and you want respect from the country?’

Another female fan Tweeted this after the game: ‘Walked out of Anfield and got called a slag by a Liverpool and got started on by two lads, classy scouse b******s for you that.’

Several other City fans were quick to note the respect they gave to the Liverpool fans by remembering the 96 people who lost their lives during the Hillsborough disaster, but were left disappointed and annoyed when they were met by vile fans who tossed bricks their way whilst boarding the coaches.

It isn’t understood whether the Premier League will look into the incident or take action against the Liverpool fans, but it’s not something that they will want to read about, especially after a fantastic result against their main title-rivals.
