Liverpool in new talks to bring striker back to Anfield!

Once again reports and conjecture are abound regarding Divock Origi. The long running ‘will he/won’t he’ saga has resurfaced, with Liverpool reportedly stepping up their bid to get their man back training on the Melwood grass and banging in the goals at Anfield.

The Reds paid ÂŁ10million for the forward in the summer, but immediately loaned him back to Lille for the remainder of the season.

Brendan Rodgers has struggled with his forwards all season; Daniel Sturridge has been continually injured, and doesn’t look set for a return for another month, whilst Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini have only managed one solitary Premier League goal between them so far this term.

Rodgers would love Origi back in January, but may have to find ÂŁ5million to terminate the loan deal early.

If Liverpool don’t find a prolific striker in the first few days of the transfer window, we could well yet see the Belgium forward on English soil sooner rather than later.

The saga continues…….
