Premier League outfit Liverpool are in talks with Ajax regarding a potential £12million deal for left-back Daley Blind.
The 24-year-old was one of the surprise performers on Friday night when Netherlands thumped Spain 5-1 in the World Cup, and after setting up two of the goals with delicious long-balls over the back-line, interest in him has rocketed.
Not only are Liverpool keen on signing him, fierce-rivals Manchester United are interested and so are Borussia Dortmund.
It’s speculated that Blind is set to leave the Dutch league after this season, and a move to United would be a likely option due to current national manager Louis Van Gaal taking over at Old Trafford after the World Cup, but Liverpool chief Ian Ayre, is confident he can strike a deal for the 24-year-old.
Blind can play left-back, centre-back and anywhere in midfield, and could go for as little as £12m, but if he continues to perform in Brazil, his price-tag may increase drastically.
