Liverpool are wasting no time in replacing Philippe Coutinho and are going to use the £142m they received from Barcelona.

Philippe Coutinho was officially announced as a Barcelona player earlier today. The Brazilian was on the radars of the La Liga giants since the summer.

With Coutinho gone, Liverpool are stepping up their interest to replace him. Jurgen Klopp has identified Kevin Strootman as a possible player to replace the 25-year-old.

The Reds can also lose Emre Can for free at the end of the season to Juventus. According to reports, it is believed that Liverpool have already begun talks with Strootman.

Roma are believed to be open to selling their midfielder this month. Liverpool are yet to submit an offer but Roma are all ears.

The Serie A club tried offloading Strootman last summer in their efforts to sign Juan Cuadrado from Juventus, but they were unable to strike a deal with the Serie A champions.
