Liverpool have received a huge boost ahead of their top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal at the weekend as midfielder Philippe Coutinho is set to be named in the squad after recovering from his serious shoulder injury.
The Brazilian has been sidelined since September after he was involved in an incident with Swanse City defender Ashley Williams, but manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he will be back in the squad for Saturday’s evening kick-off against the league leaders.
“Coutinho is great,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. “He’s been given the all clear by the specialist to come in.
“He’s been training for the last few weeks, so he’ll come back into the squad.”
