The Merseyside club, according to GiveMeSport, has been keeping an eye on the Italian attacker for a number of years. Now that Arne Slot has been appointed manager, they have rekindled their transfer ambitions and are making a greater effort to sign Chiesa. According to reports, Liverpool’s scouts watched the Coppa Italia final, in which Juventus defeated Atalanta 1-0, thanks in large part to Chiesa.
Though Mohamed Salah’s long-term future is now unknown, it looks like the Merseyside club is also looking to recruit a new winger. There’s been talk that the Egyptian will continue at the club until the upcoming season, but there’s no certainty he’ll be around after that. He’s been linked to a transfer to Saudi Arabia recently.
Liverpool gives green light to sign £70m-rated in Salah replacement
Juventus star Federico Chiesa, who is valued at around £70million, is seemingly available this summer. Sky Italia claims that Thiago Motta, the new leader, has no intentions for the Italian. The speculation is that Chiesa might be sold for €25 million (£21.2 million) if Juventus decides to cash in this summer as his contract is expiring in a year.
Chiesa has previously been often linked to transfers to Anfield. They were first interested in 2021, with reports at the time suggesting that the Reds had even lodged a £86million bid for his services. In addition to looking to add in other categories, the Reds may decide to rekindle their interest in Chiesa.
