Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes striker Luis Suarez is a perfect fit for the club after the Uruguayan scored four goals in helping The Reds to a 5-1 victory against Norwich City.
Despite asking to leave the club back in the Summer, Suarez was forced to stay at Anfield, but he hasn’t let the transfer saga of the Summer effect his performances, and last night, he did what he always does, score a hat-trick against The Canaries.
This time he didn’t stop at three though, he went on to score four goals and then he set up Raheem Sterling for the fifth, and after the game, Rodgers was full of praise for his star.
“He is really happy here. He is playing with a smile and enthusiasm,” said Rodgers.
“The whole profile of the club fits him perfectly. The supporters idolise him and you can see the connection there.”
“Everything about him is just world class,” added the Northern Irishman.
“If you look at the world-class performers at the top of the game their numbers are just exceptional and that is the level he is at.
“To miss the first four games of the season and to be on the number of goals he is now is a wonderful return.
“The football suits him here. We try to play a certain way that allows him the freedom to move and to create the spaces for him to exploit.”
