Liverpool are tracking the progress of Sporting Lisbon defender, Marcos Rojo, according to Portugese publication A Bola.
The Argentine international, has a reported release clause of £25 million in his contract, and it is understood that Liverpool are willing to activate the clause in the summer window.
After much criticism about the centre-backs at Liverpool this year, boss Brendan Rodgers is willing to revamp his back four, making Rojo one of his key targets.
Liverpool have also been linked with the likes of Luke Shaw from Southampton and Cardiff’s Steven Caulker.
Rojo has also been subject of interest from the likes of Manchester United, Roma and Inter Milan.
