Liverpool have hand an offer of £8m turned down by Swansea for left-back Ben Davies.
Rodgers is keen to add the left-back to his bulking squad, in order to allow Liverpool contest in next year’s Champions League.
And despite numerous rumours linking Liverpool with a move for Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand, is appears youngster Davies is a top target for Liverpool this summer.
However, it is understood that Liverpool will have to offer more money if they truely want so sign the left-back with £8m being rejected by Swansea.
With Swansea playing hardball, Liverpool may yet decide to return to Chelsea with an offer for Bertrand, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Aston Villa.
