Spanish left-back Jose Enrique believes Daniel Sturridge can be up their with one of the best, and become a strong contender for the golden boot award.
The Reds have won all 3 games so far and play Swansea away tomorrow night, with Daniel Sturridge scoring in every game for Liverpool.
In an interview Jose Enrique said, “He’s a top player and I think he can challenge for the top scorer this season.”
“If he has good luck with [avoiding] injuries then I think if he continues in this form, he will be right up there. For me he’s got everything you want from a striker. He is quick, strong and can play with both feet.”
He went on to say, ”I’ll be claiming the assist [against Villa] but it was all down to Danny and Philippe Coutinho [who] left the ball for him and he did the rest.”
Sturridge was strongly out of favour with past Clubs Manchester City and Chelsea FC but since joing Liverpool for a fee of around 12million he’s netted 12 Goals in 18 appearances.
