Liverpool lining up shock move for former star as Philippe Coutinho replacement.
The English Giants are lining up a surprise move for AC Milan playmaker Suso, according to reports.
The Reds have yet to dip into their Philippe Coutinho funds and find a replacement. The Brazilian star made the move to Barcelona in January after a £142m bid from the Catalan side. It followed a lengthy transfer saga that stretched back to last summer, after the midfielder put in a transfer request.
However, Jurgen Klopp opted not to replace their mercurial star. Several players have filled in and benefited from the position vacated by Coutinho including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Emre Can and Sadio Mane. But in the summer the Anfield club are ready to spend big.
The 24-year-old started his professional career at Liverpool’s youth set-up and recently signed a new deal with the Rossoneri. Sky Sports believe that in that contract is a release clause worth £35.7m (€40m). That is well within Liverpool’s price range, a club that has already announced they will spend big in the summer transfer window.
