Inter Milan are willing to let the midfielder leave in January

Liverpool are being linked with a move to bring Geoffrey Kondogbia to Anfield next month.

Inter Milan haven’t been too impressed with the player’s performances since his move to Italy back in 2015 and they have been that unimpressed with him that he is no longer a heavy part of their plans.

Marseille have been keeping an eye on the situation and have been considering a move for the midfielder themselves, with Inter looking to sell the 23-year old on as soon as they can.

Try before you buy

However, it is Liverpool who are believed to be leading the chase for his signature.

Although they don’t fancy stumping up the ÂŁ18.5m for Kondogbia to sign him permanently in January, they are considering a loan move for him – something that Inter will allow.

It allows Jurgen Klopp to try out the midfielder before he decides to permanently buy him, which is good as it allows the manager to see if the 23-year old could fit into his system at Liverpool.

The only catch is that with any loan deal that Inter agree to, they want to add a buyout clause into it, that means the club that loans him can pay ÂŁ18.5m to sign him permanently in the summer when the loan ends.

If the Reds sign him on loan and are impressed though, then they could be more than happy to pay that fee.
