Croatian media suggests €15million bid from Reds

Liverpool have made a €15million bid for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ante Coric, according to a Croation media outlet.

The report suggests the £12.8m approach will be enough to land the 19-year-old, but says Dinamo’s hierarchy are now mulling over the bid and plotting their next move.

Italian side Napoli are also reported to have made an approach, so the Croatian side could use their interest to drive up the fee.

The article says Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has a long-standing interest in the player, but there is no suggestion that he is actively working on a deal to sign him at present.

Coric is a 5ft 7in attacking midfielder. He spent four years in the youth academy of Red Bull Salzburg before returning to his homeland with Dinamo in 2013 in a €900,000 deal.

The youngster made his senior debut in April 2016 and has since clocked up 67 appearances. He has also won two senior caps for Croatia’s national team.

Coric is currently with his team-mates at a pre-season training camp in Slovenia.
