Reds approach Juventus for experienced defender
Liverpool have made an offer for Juventus defender Martin Caceres, according to reports.
The 28-year-old is facing an uncertain future, with his contract in Turin expiring at the end of the season, meaning he could be available for a cut-price in the January transfer window.
Due to the Bosman Ruling, Liverpool could offer Caceres a pre-contract next month, which if it’s agreed to by the Uruguayan, it would see him join Anfield in the summer on a free transfer.
January Swoop
However, with injuries mounting up at Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is desperate to add players in January, so he could be tempted to make a cut-price offer for the Serie A champions.
Liverpool aren’t the only side interested in the centre-back however, as Inter Milan and Fenerbahce have also shown interest.
Caceres has only made three appearances for Juve this term.
