Reds expected to sign Schalke star in the New Year
Liverpool have made an official approach for Schalke star Leroy Sane, according to reports.
The 19-year-old is developing as one of the best young prospects in world football, and it’s Liverpool that have made the first move, ahead of their fierce-rivals Manchester United.
According to reports, the Premier League duo are both interested in signing the teenage, but it’s Jurgen Klopp‘s side that have made the first official move.
Formal Bid
German publication, Bild, have reported that the Reds have made a formal bid of around £10million for Sane, and are desperate to get the deal wrapped up in January.
Klopp has links with people from the Bundesliga, due to his time with Borussia Dortmund, but according to reports, he’d rather sign players who don’t play for his former-club, and Sane is one high up on his wishlist.
