Liverpool officials have rubbished the reports claiming they have agreed a deal to sign Mexican goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa.
Reports broke yesterday that a deal was in place for the January transfer window which would see Ochoa move to Anfield in a deal worth ÂŁ3million, but the speculation has been rubbished by the Liverpool camp as they still seek to push through a move for Chelsea ‘keeper, Petr Cech.
Brendan Rodgers is desperate to land a goalkeeper after the struggles of Simon Mignolet, and after being dropped for the Manchester United game, it seems that the club are keen to find a new number-one.
Brad Jones went in goal for the trip to Old Trafford, but he isn’t seen as a suitable long-term number-one goalkeeper, and Ochoa was set to become that figure.
However, the reports have been rubbished and officials have confirmed that there isn’t a deal in place!
