Liverpool’s interest in Mario Gotze has been the talk of the town recently, with the Anfield outfit now reported by German publication the Rheinische Postto to have made a £20 million bid for the German superstar.

Gotze was originally reported to be a target for Jurgen Klopp in March, with the Kop Boss wanting to bring the German midfielder over the Premier League.

The Reds were believed to be in talks with Dortmund for his signature.

And  with incoming Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti reportedly telling Gotze that he will play a small partial role at the Allianz Arena next season, Liverpool have now made their move.

That is all according to German publication the Rheinische Post mind you, who claim that Klopp has now sanctioned a £20 million bid for the World Cup star.

This is said to have come just hours after they became aware of Ancelotti’s stance on the German, with Klopp very determined to add Gotze to his attacking line-up.

And now it is reported that Liverpool will do “everything they can” to sign Gotze, including making the 23-year-old their highest earners.
