Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has declared his interest in Lazio winger Antonio Candreva and has made the Italian his top target for January. Despite making a hefty amount of signings during the recently concluded transfer window, Rodgers has told senior club officials that he wants a quality winger at Anfield in the new year and has identified Candreva as the man to bring in.
The 27-year-old has been heavily exalted for his dribbing and crossing skills and has been continuously watched by a host of scouts from many top clubs in Europe during the last few months.
Although there is a number of clubs that have been reported as keen on the player, Liverpool are said to be in pole position with a bid soon to come in as the Reds look to get the Italian signed up as quickly as possible.
