Klopp scouts Schalke star
Liverpool have joined Tottenham in the race for Schalke star Max Meyer, and are plotting a £14million summer bid.
Meyer is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract, meaning they might have to sell him for a cut-price from the £45million they wanted for him last summer.
The Mirror claim Liverpool are confident they can get Meyer for a third of the original asking price as Schalke try to ensure their star asset does not walk away on a free in 2018.
It’s thought that Jurgen Klopp has sent scouts to watch Meyer play for Germany U-21’s, where he played as a secondary striker in a 1-0 over Portugal.
