FC Barcelona want around £20million for the goalkeeper

Liverpool could be set to miss out on FC Barcelona star Marc-Andre ter Stegen, with the La Liga giants wanting around £20million for the goalkeeper.

It’s well documented that Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a new goalkeeper for Liverpool, with Simon Mignolet not having enough legit competition at Anfield as Adam Bogdan is the current number-two.

The Reds have been linked with Stoke City‘s Jack Butland in recent weeks, but Klopp has a personal favourite on his mind which is ter Stegen.

Klopp Eyes Ter Stegen

According to reports, Klopp and Liverpool officials want to offer Barca around £12m for the shot-stopper, who is currently back-up at Nou Camp to Claudio Bravo.

However, Barca are still hopeful about the 23-year-old’s future, and that’s why they would want closer to £20m to sell-up.

After signing from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach, ter Stegen signed a contract at Barca with a £65m release clause in it, but they don’t expect anyone to activate that for the shot-stopper.
