Premier League side Liverpool look set to battle it out with rivals Arsenal for the signature of Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The Gunners had a formal bid for the Frenchman rejected back in the Summer after Alan Pardew labelled the offer as insulting.
It is believed that Arsene Wenger offered around £10million for the 27-year-old.
After a potential move fell through, Cabaye spoke publically about his future and admitted that he remained committed to The Magpies, but will reports suggesting both Liverpool and Arsenal could bid for him in January, there may be chance that the midfielder will seek for a move away from St James Park.
