Liverpool set to keep faith with Rodgers

No wins in three put the pressure on Anfield boss

Liverpool’s owners are not going to sack manager Brendan Rodgers, despite rumours that he was under pressure following an indifferent start to the Premier League season.

The Reds kicked off their campaign in style following two wins from two games which was followed by a draw with Arsenal at the Emirates, however have lost their last two games in unconvincing style.

A 3-0 home defeat to West Ham and a 3-1 reverse at Old Trafford have been the outcome of the Reds‘ last two encounters, however they do still have the likes of Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho missing.

Rodgers Backing

The results had led to media reports that the future of Rodgers was now uncertain, however owners Fenway Sports Group are not going to look to replace the Northern Irishman, and instead keep faith in the manager who almost led them to Premier League glory two seasons ago.

With a big number of new signings made since the sale of Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling, as well as the loss of club legend Steven Gerrard, it will inevitably take time for Rodgers to bed in all of his new arrivals, and it’s believed FSG will give him the necessary time to do so.
