Liverpool are preparing a final ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Southampton winger Adam Lallana. Lallana has been at the top of Liverpool’s summer transfer shortlist for a while now, however The Reds have so far seen bids from £20 million to £23 million rejected by current club Southampton.
Brendan Rodgers has already made a list of alternative including Xherdan Shaqiri and Max Meyer if the Lallana deal doesn’t succeed. According to some reports, the final bid will be worth up to £26 million, with the rest of the Merseyside’s club’s transfer budget to be spent on strikers.
It is understood that the Saint Mary’s club will part with the player if the price is right, but if a deal cannot be agreed to by the end of this week, Liverpool will turn their attentions to other targets.
