Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United defender Winston Reid.
The centre-back had a very impressive first-half of the season before picking up a serious ankle injury, and since returning from the sidelines, he has found it hard to break back into The Hammers first-team due to their improvement on the field recently.
Reid, 25, was linked with a move to Arsenal in January, but his serious ankle injury scuppered a potential move as Arsene Wenger refused to sign an injured player, and it’s now expected that Brendan Rodgers will make a formal bid in the Summer in order to boost up his defence.
The Reds, who have had a superb season, have been shaky at the back on numerous occasions, and after conceding three more away at Cardiff City yesterday, Rodgers is expected to sign a couple of defenders in the transfer window in order to tighten up his back-line.
