Brendan Rodgers’ side stroll to 4-0 victory
Liverpool have started their pre-season tour of the Far East with a 4-0 victory over a Thailand All Stars team.
Goals from Lazar Markovic, Mamadou Sakho, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi gave The Reds a convincing win to start their tour to the delight of the Merseyside fans.
New Faces
The game gave a chance for Liverpool fans to see Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez and Danny Ings make their full debuts at the club, as the trio started the match in the Far East.
Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner and Divock Origi all made their debuts as well as they came on for the second-half.
Match Summary
It was a last-summer signing that got the game running as Markovic rounded the ‘keeper to slot Liverpool ahead, before a bullet header from Sakho made it 2-0 before the break.
Lallana made it 3-0 with a tidy finish after Jordan Henderson picked him out with a stunning rabona pass and Origi netted his first ever goal in a Reds shirt to make it 4-0.
Liverpool’s next game is on Friday as they take on Australian outfit Brisbane Roar, before they take on Adelaide United on Monday.
The Reds end their Far East tour next Friday as they take on a Malaysian XI.
