17-year-old Liverpool midfielder Jordan Rossiter is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines following an unconfirmed ankle injury. Whilst ligament damage is suspected, nothing has yet been confirmed.
The Liverpool-born defensive midfielder has come through the academy at Melwood, and made a goal-scoring debut against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup in September.
Liverpool Under-18s boss Neil Critchley told the Liverpool Echo, “Jordan was in a lot of pain in the dressing room after the game, and when Jordan is in pain you know it’s serious so we feared the worst.”
“It’s either ligament damage or a severe sprain, but he’s still facing a fair few weeks out.”
