Liverpool step up interest

Liverpool have already made enquiries for the services of Barcelona forward, Pedro and now have been encouraged after the Spanish club have stated that the player will be availible at the right price.

The Red’s previously made an approach to Barcelona for the Spanish attacker, but the Catalan giants were unable to confirm Pedro’s availibility at that time.

But now, as new Head coach, Luis Enrique has been appointed at Barcelona, Pedro seems to be surplus to requirements as a huge squad overhaul is expected at the club in the summer window.

This has encouraged Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers , as he sees Pedro the ‘perfect fit’ to combine with forwards, Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge next season.

Evidence to suggest that Pedro is likely to be moving on, was in Barcelona’s latest kit launch. Along with the likes of midfielder Cesc Fabregas and forward Alexis Sanchez, Pedro was missing from the photo shoot and was not to be involved at all with the launch.

It is thought that if Spain were to progress to the finals of the World Cup, Pedro’s price tag would rise, but it seems that Rodgers is ready to splash the cash to help Liverpool compete both domestically and in the Champions League next season.
