Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has dropped a hint that he could be on his way to Liverpool in January.
Casilla has revealed that Espanyol, like many Spanish clubs, are in financial difficulty so would be prepared to sell him for the right price.
“Espanyol are like most Spanish clubs- they need money and if my departure happens, it’s because Espanyol needs the money.”
Liverpool want to strengthen their goalkeeping options, amid doubts over the form of Simon Mignolet, and Casilla is high on their list of targets.
Casilla has denied Liverpool have approached him, but is hopeful a move can be arranged.
“I’ve not had a call from anyone at Liverpool yet. When the bids happen, if it happens, we will value it and decide what happens.”
Liverpool are set to bid £8 million for the Catalan shot stopper.
