Benfica star lazar markovic is thought to be around £25m and Brendan Rodgers is keen to acquire the services of the Serbian.
Markovic is a winger who is known for his pace and ability in front of goal and the 20 year old will provide further options to rodgers as he looks to once again challenge for the league title.
The signing of markovic would complete a very handsome treble after news that Adam Lallana was on the verge of completing his move to Anfield and the same with Belgian, Divock Origi.
Lallana’s agent has confirmed the 26 year old has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and the transfer should be announced tomorrow.
Meanwhile Rodgers has also been quick to show interest in young striker Divock Origi, who has starred for Belgium at the World Cup in Brazil.
The 19 year old will be loaned back to French side Lille for next season, with the signing also due to be announced within the coming days.
The highly anticipated trio will make five transfers for the Reds in total, adding to Rickie Lambert from Southampton and Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
