Reds expect to announce new manager by end of the week

Liverpool Football Club are expected to announce Jurgen Klopp as their new manager by the end of the week.

The two parties have already held talks and it’s believed the German is close to agreeing a long-term contract at Anfield after they agreed to give him full say on transfers at the club.

Klopp was adamant that he wanted full say on the outgoings and incomings at the club, with previous managers not having full control, and after FSG agreed to that demand, talks went smoothly.

Sabbatical Cut Short

The former-Borussia Dortmund manager has been out of work since the summer, and despite initially wanting a year sabbatical, he is now ready to cut that short and return to management.

Klopp has always wanted to work in the Premier League, and several clubs have been linked with him in the past, including Arsenal, but it looks like Liverpool are set to see the German takeover before the weekend.

His first game in charge would be Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.

It’s believed to be a three-year deal for the manager, who will also bring some of his own staff in.
