Liverpool to reignite their interest in Javier Pastore

The playmaker has hinted at PSG exit

Javier Pastore has been a key player for Paris-Saint Germain since he joined them from Palermo in 2001. But this season he has fallen out of favor under Unai Emery, starting just 12 games in Ligue 1.

The Argentine International has been heavily linked with a move away and even the player has expressed his frustration for not getting regular playing time and hinted at PSG exit.

The 28 year old talked about his imminent future when he was not selected for the game against Monaco:

“I was disappointed. I always want to play, I do not play important matches like in the Champions League or today against Monaco”, said Pastore.

“It was more or less like that all year long. I have already said it, I’m going to think about my future but the important thing is to try to help the team during the 10 minutes that I enter the field.”

Liverpool have rekindled their interest in PSG midfielder Javier Pastore, according to Calciomercato.

According to Di Marzio, Liverpool were interested in the the player during the January transfer window but their loan offer but rejected by the Ligue 1 giants.  The offer included the option to purchase the player for a fee in the region of €25 million-€40 million.

But the Reds are planning to move for him again this summer as the player is most likely looking for a move away. Inter Milan and Tottenham are also interested in him.
