Madrid are expected to make stellar signings this summer

Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool from Roma for an initial fee of €42 million last summer and what a signing he has been. He has been on fire in his debut season for the Reds, scoring 43 goals in all competitions and in many instances singlehandedly won the game for his club.

Since moving back to England, Salah has become an Anfield Icon and established himself one of the best players in the world. He is right now leading the race for Golden boot and was recently voted as the PFA Player of the Year. He also inspired the team to reach the semi-final of the Champions League, where he was instrumental again in beating Roma 5-2 in the first leg on Tuesday.

The 25 year old’s form has attracted interested from many top European clubs with Real Madrid particularly interested in him. The Spanish giants are planning for a overhaul of the squad with the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema are likely to be sold and have made the Egyptian their priority signing.

Madrid’s interest in the winger was clear when Zinedine Zidane spoke about him in December and according to latest news they are ready to pay around £200 million for the star.

But Liverpool are prepared to reject any approach from Real Madrid for Mohamed Salah, reports the Daily Mail. They made it clear earlier that they won’t be selling him this summer as they want to build their team around him. He has no buy-out clause in his contract which complicates Real’s pursuit as the English giants are considering improving the contract.

Salah still has four years left on his contract and is currently earning £90,000-per-week.
