Manchester City defender Micah Richards is back on Liverpool’s radar as he looks for a new club this summer.
Richards is looking likely to leave The Etihad this summer after is was revealed he turned down a new 5 year deal at the club, and now Brendan Rodgers is planning a summer swoop after a loan move was turned down by City in January. Rodgers is attracted to Richards due to the facts he can play both at right-back and centre back.
City will be looking to gain around £8million for Richards, despite the fact that he only has 12 months left on his current deal. Manuel Pelligrini seems to be quite keen on keeping the 25 year old, given the fact that he meets the Premier League homegrown criteria.
However, the prospect of losing Richards is becoming more and more likely, and City could be in danger of losing him for free next summer if he doesn’t sign a new contract. City are rumoured to be lining up a move for Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna in order to replace Richards.
