Italian manager adamant he wants 12-months away from game
Liverpool will have to wait a year to approach Carlo Ancelotti if they want him to replace Brendan Rodgers.
Recent reports have put the Italian’s name in the hat to replace under-fire Rodgers after a poor start to the new Premier League campaign, but according to reports in Spain, the Reds would have to wait 12-months.
Marca have reported that the former-Real Madrid manager is adamant he wants 12-months away from the game after recently leaving the Bernabeu.
Ancelotti or Klopp
Ancelotti is one of two strongly linked with taking over at Anfield, with former-Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp the other name in the hat.
However, as it stands, Liverpool are backing Rodgers and have no plans on replacing, but he has reportedly 10-days to prove he’s the right man to take them forward.
It was revealed earlier this week that Klopp would be interested in a Premier League job, sparking further speculation that he could end up in Merseyside.
Ancelotti has previous English experience when he was the manager of Chelsea, guiding them to a Premier League title as well as domestic up victories.
